So, originally I had this whole post inspired by the movie Eat, Pray, Love. (May still post it one day)
It was kinda long, maybe a little cheesy...but it came from my heart. :o)
Here's the thing though...it's not REALLY what is in my heart at this very moment.
This is: I can't believe I ate all that leftover Easter candy Friday night!
As I mentioned Friday, I have been re-evaluating things in my life. I have made tons of changes...all for the good. I have mostly focused on my relationship with my daughter, my relationship with God and my daughter's relationship with God. I am happy to report that all 3 are improving! However, in doing all this I have taken focus off of other things that should still be important...mainly my health and fitness. I have totally slacked on working out and have been a lot more lenient on myself regarding what I eat. I am scared to get on the scale...but I'm sure I have gained a few pounds back. More importantly, I just feel out of shape again. I feel spongy! So, it's looking like time to re-evaluate my re-evaluating. (Are you confused yet? I am!).
All I mean is that I need to do a better job at balancing everything.
(Which is pretty much what my original ramble-on post was about).
So, it's time to get back to working out regularly and eating healthier (which isn't all bad with yummy thing's like Erica's Mango Smoothie. It's unbelievable delicious!! Try it!)
I don't know about you, but I do better at something when there is a purpose and direction involved. Having said that, I am setting a goal to get to my target weight by July 1st. That gives me just under 6 weeks. Totally do-able and hopefully I get there sooner than that.
So, what is something in your life that you have let fall to the side a bit that you need to re-focus yourself to? How about setting some kind of goal regarding it?
I found my motivation in the bottom of a candy bowl. Where do you find yours?

Disclaimer: This is not me..if my body looked like this, we would not be needing to have this conversation. This is however, what my elliptical looks like. lol (picture from here) |

If all that wasn't motivation enough...having my child pick up "The Shake Weight" in the middle of Wal-mrt yesterday and say in her most UN-quiet voice.."Hey, Momma...this is what you need to get rid of those flabby arms!!"..definitely WAS! Oh, and to which I replied "Yeah well, they maybe flabby but they can still smack you up side your head if need be!!". (Which I would NEVER do, but it quieted her real quick. lol)
Happy Monday, y'all!

Lmao, I have had those moments in stores where M will say very... honest things about me! Too funny.
ReplyDeleteThat smoothie looks yum. I always add spinach to my smoothies. Painless way to get in another serving of veggies!
It really sounds like a you have a strong foundation from which to find some wonderful balance in your life!
